Summary

Import Agent requires the Delete right in order to run properly. Without the Delete right, Import Agent will not move any data from the monitored folders into LaserFiche.

Cause

Import Agent works by monitoring one or more folders on the network. Any time a file appears in those folders, and meets the filtering criteria, the file is imported into the appropriate LaserFiche database. In order to prevent cluttering on the network and having the file imported multiple times, Import Agent removes the file after the file is successfully imported. To ensure that this process takes place properly, make sure the file is not read only, and that the Import Agent service is logging on as a user that has the right to delete files out of the folders it is monitoring.

By default, the Import Agent Server logs in using the Local System account. This article applies if you change that setting and have the service log in using another account. This article can also apply if Import Agent monitors networked folders.
