This article documents potential causes and potential resolutions when customers notice that the web client's folder browser is not automatically refreshing when the contents of a folder they are browsing change.
- The [WebAccess]AutoRefresh trustee attribute for the affected user is not set or is set to False.
- Communication between the web client and the Laserfiche Server is blocked. Verify that the port specified as the Notification Port is open.
Verify that the [WebAccess]AutoRefresh trustee attribute for the user is set to True.
- Open the Laserfiche Administration Console and expand the Users and Groups node.
- If you want AutoRefresh turned on for all users, open the Everyone group's properties dialog and check that [WebAccess]AutoRefresh attribute exists and is set to True or Yes. Add it if it does not exist.
- If you want a specific user to have Auto Refresh enabled, open the user's properties and set the attribute as noted in step 2.
- If auto refresh still does not work, double check that the user or the Everyone group does not have the [WebAccess]AutoRefresh attribute set to No or False.

- First verify the configured port by opening the Laserfiche Administration Console and expanding the Server Settings node. The port setting will be found next to "Notification Port". The default is 5051.
- Ensure that firewalls between the Laserfiche Server and Laserfiche Web Client server allow traffic through the notification port.
