Summary
As part of the upcoming April 2023 release to Laserfiche Cloud, our software suite will be switching to new unified regional settings to control language, time zone, and date formats. These settings are available as both an account-wide default and as individual user settings that take precedence over the system default.
At this time, these settings apply to the sign-in page, the app picker, the repository, and tasks inbox, forms submissions, and process reports, and will be expanded to administrative portions of Laserfiche Cloud in the future. The languages covered by this update are English (United States), French (Canada), and Spanish (Latin America),
Once the new regional settings are released, existing time zone and locale settings will no longer be automatically set based on your browser or previously configured options in the repository. Users who have already configured regional settings such as language support for their repository in Laserfiche Cloud will need to configure those settings again on the My Account page. These settings will then apply to all Laserfiche Cloud apps as future regional settings support is released.
To minimize the impact of this change, in a few days administrators will be able to set their account defaults ahead of the release. Users will also be able to access their own settings and pick their language and locale ahead of this change.
Note: Regional settings were previously scheduled to become active on April 11, 2023. The selected values will take effect over the course of a few days starting on June 1, 2023.
Any accounts not specifically set before the release will default to the following system settings:
Note that other languages that are currently supported in the repository and public portal are not covered by this update and if selected, will continue to display in English in other apps.
These settings will have no impact on:
