Summary
Starting October 1st, Microsoft will start to disable basic authentication across multiple services, including Exchange Online. This article lists the Laserfiche applications potentially affected by the change and configuration changes you must make to retain full functionality of your Laserfiche software.
Laserfiche Email Archive
Configure Laserfiche Email Archive profiles to use the Microsoft 365 Oauth 2.0 authentication type. See the following documentation for creating an Email Archive profile:
Laserfiche Forms 11
When configuring an email approval server for Laserfiche Forms, use the Microsoft 365 OAuth 2.0 authentication type. See the Configuring email approval settings section in the following documentation on connecting Forms to an Email Server:
Laserfiche Workflow 11
Upgrade to Workflow 11 update 2. When configuring an Exchange web service for use with Create Exchange Item activity, use the OAuth authentication type. OAuth is only supported when connecting to Exchange Online at this time.
SMTP authentication for Exchange Online
Laserfiche applications also connect to mail servers using SMTP authentication. While Microsoft is not turning off SMTP authentication for Exchange Online at this time, the functionality of Laserfiche may be affected by the configuration of your Microsoft account. Please follow Microsoft recommendations for configuration and turn off SMTP Authentication at the account level, then enable it for the mailboxes used by Laserfiche applications.
