Summary

This article details the list of changes for Laserfiche Forms 10.4.1 Update 3.

The following improvements have been made, as well as changes to address the Laserfiche Forms Portal File Upload Vulnerability.

  • Public users no longer have the option to download a copy of the file that they uploaded when returning to a saved draft or after submission. (324708, 339722)
  • Enhancements to prevent files types not in the "File extensions allowed" option from being uploaded. (298692)
  • Improved load time for tasks with a form that contains lots of fields and many file upload fields. (212435)
  • Fixed an issue when 10,000+ timers were set for execution, causing excess memory usage. (217222)
  • Improved resource management after processing a large number of timers. (218151)
  • The image thumbnail for portrait photos taken with an IPhone or IPad are no longer rotated when viewed on a PC. (233887)
  • Inbox performance improvements. (242459)
  • Safari on IOS: No longer receive errors after submitting the form when it is embedded in an iframe. (259195)
  • The Business Manager role no longer receives a "You no longer receive a "You do not have sufficient rights to view this page. [LFF8-NoAuthority]" error message when reassigning tasks on the Monitor page. (263292)

Resolution

Click the following link to download a ZIP file containing update 3 for Laserfiche Forms 10.4.1.

  1. Extract the executable file from the ZIP file to a temporary location on the server hosting Laserfiche Forms 10.4.1.
  2. Stop the Laserfiche Forms Routing Service.
  3. Run the installer to update Forms.
  4. Start the Laserfiche Forms Routing Service.

More Information

  • If you downloaded and installed this patch prior to September 22, 2021, please uninstall it from Installed Updates (listed as Laserfiche Forms 10.4.1.254 Update 3 KB:1014328), then download the most recent zip file and install the updated patch. The previous released patch contains a known issue that prevents users from opening drafts from their Inbox page.

Known Issues

This update is not directly compatible with upgrading to Laserfiche Forms 10.4.2:

  • If you apply this update over an existing Laserfiche Forms 10.4.1 release or Laserfiche Forms 10.4.1 Update 1 installation, you must uninstall the update prior to upgrading to Forms 10.4.2.
  • If you apply this update over an existing Laserfiche Forms 10.4.1 Update 2 installation, you must uninstall both this update and Update 2 prior to upgrading to Laserfiche Forms 10.4.2.

This issue does not apply if you want to upgrade to Laserfiche Forms 10.4.3 or later.
