Summary
To ensure the highest level of security, Laserfiche Cloud is ending support for connections using TLS 1.0 or 1.1 as of January 1, 2021. Organizations on these versions may encounter "No response received from the server" errors when attempting to access a repository in Laserfiche Cloud using a locally-installed client application, such as Laserfiche Connector. To ensure a smooth transition, Laserfiche is releasing patches to deprecate TLS 1.0 and 1.1 support. This will ensure that no additional configuration is required for these products.
Note: While this change is specific to Laserfiche Cloud repositories, these patches can be used to make the transition to TLS 1.2 or higher easier for on-premises implementations that wish to end use of TLS 1.0 or 1.1 as well.
If you are using Windows 7, Windows Server 2012, or Windows Server 2008 R2 and have not installed the update to enable TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 as default secure protocols in WinHTTP you will also need to enable TLS 1.2 on the computers on which you will use Laserfiche Connector.
See End-of-Support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1 for Laserfiche Cloud for instructions on patching the other relevant products.
