Summary

When formatting two-digit values as four-digit years in Laserfiche Workflow, you may notice that "29" converts to "2029," while "30" converts to "1930."

Cause

Laserfiche Workflow uses Windows settings to interpret two-digit values as years, with the default range set as 1930-2029.

Workaround

You can change Windows date value settings for the Workflow service user.

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Click Clock and Region.
  3. Under Region, click Change date, time, or number formats.
  4. In the Region dialog box, click Additional settings under the Formats tab.
  5. In the Customize Format dialog box, click on the Date tab.
  6. Under the Calendar section, increase the latter year a few years as needed.
  7. Click OK.

While you may change the date settings, Laserfiche strongly recommends using four-digit years throughout to avoid confusion.
