Laserfiche 10.4.2 includes a variety of bug fixes and performance enhancements.
Note: Laserfiche 10.4.2 is a cumulative update and also includes all changes included in previous versions.

Web Client
- You no longer receive an "Unable to cast object of type 'iTextSharp.text.pdf.PdfString' to type 'iTextSharp.text.pdf.PdfDictionary'" error message when generating pages for select types of PDF files. (199821)
- When scanning from Laserfiche Web Scanning, document file sizes could be improperly larger than expected. This issue is now resolved. (199502, 199465)
- The web client IIS worker process may become unstable in certain situations when trying to display an error page. This issue is now resolved. (199011)
- Laserfiche Web Scanning now properly reads the default volume set on a folder. (192730, 196889)
- Page range is no longer ignored when emailing a document with the option set to combine documents into one ZIP file. (190848)
- Web Access no longer improperly clears out email message text that you specify when you email a document from the Web Client in MSG (Outlook format) and choose the Use email client to manually send the message option where your email client is Microsoft Outlook that is configured to send emails in Text format. - When using Chrome, the first email dragged from Outlook into the web client could be moved to Outlook's deleted items folder. This issue is now resolved. (188320)
- You no longer receive a "Date/time out of range. [9170]" error message when performing a date search in a Custom Quick Search and specifying a DD/MM/YYYY search value. (185593)
- You are no longer prompted for a username and password again when you click a web client electronic document link to a Microsoft Office document and you have already previously signed in through another Laserfiche web application. (181083)
- The Next Document and Previous Document buttons in the document viewer function properly for documents opened via shortcut. (163429)
- The web client no longer become unresponsive when opening a folder with many thousand sibling folders. (161113)
- The Document Preview Service did not properly support certain network configurations where it could receive local requests that were redirected through a firewall or proxy. This issue is now resolved. (156256)
- The Request Signature with DocuSign option may not be available the first time you click the More Actions drop-down list in the folder browser. This issue is now resolved. (155006)
- Windows Server 2008 is no longer a supported operating system due to incompatibilities with .NET Framework 4.7.2 and later. (202997)
- Launching Laserfiche Scanning via URL when the web client is configured for Laserfiche Directory Server authentication no longer returns an "Unauthorized" error when you attempt to authenticate. (169474)
- Resolved an issue where field information could be lost when generating a new document from pages of an existing document. (31693)
Windows Client
- As a temporary measure to maintain Laserfiche Cloud performance, the Windows Client now displays an "Unavailable" value when viewing the properties of a folder and you attempt to view the count for child folders, child documents, image count, text, count, and electronic count for folders in a Laserfiche Cloud repository. - The Check Out Details dialog box now properly displays information for entries that are checked out by another user. (198399, 189809)
- You are no longer prevented from modifying your column display settings after you manually import a malformed custom column trustee attribute value. (195129)
- You are no longer prevented from selecting the Use default signature checkbox in the Options dialog box's New Documents -> General tab. (194582)
- In certain conditions, you could be required to use the date picker in order to specify a date in a date field search. You can now again manually type in date values. (191178)
- The Windows client now retains the file type of an exported attachment annotation if you rename the attachment annotation on export and do not include a file extension. (190953)
- When importing an email with an attachment and choosing to separate the attachment and link it to the parent document, the resulting document relationship would be incorrectly linked to the root folder of the repository. This issue is now resolved. (184672)
- When signing in to Laserfiche Cloud using the Windows client, you will no longer receive an HTTP 403 error when your administrator has prompted you to change your password. You will now instead receive a message indicating that you need to change your password at signin.laserfiche.com. (162191)
Laserfiche Server
- In certain situations, Laserfiche did not properly save your change when resetting a field that is part of a multiple-value field group back to a single value field. This issue is now resolved. (186917)
Administration Console
- You can now add a Laserfiche Directory Server group in the Laserfiche Administration Console. (181506)
