Summary

Google Chrome must be configured for Laserfiche Connector to successfully interact with elements in a web page or application open in Chrome. Use this utility to automatically configure Chrome. This utility is also used with Laserfiche Robotic Process Automation but will be run automatically during installation.

To run the Chrome configuration utility

1. Download the utility.

2. Right click Laserfiche.RPA.ConfigUtility.exe, and select Run as administrator to configure all public and private Chrome shortcuts on the machine.

Note: If you double-click the utility and do not run it as an administrator, only the current user's Chrome shortcuts will be configured.

3. The utility will run without opening any windows or making any visible changes to your desktop.
4. Restart Google Chrome.

Deploying the Chrome configuration utility based on group policy

We recommend deploying the utility through group policy, and then providing the utility to individual users that encounter configuration errors with Chrome. If you choose to run the utility based on group policy, the utility will only configure Chrome shortcuts that are installed in public places (e.g., public desktop, public Windows start menu, public taskbars, etc).
