Laserfiche introduces various new features with Laserfiche Workflow 10.4.1. Use the Assign Geographical Location activity to modify the geolocation information of a repository entry. Administrators have additional security options for controlling access to workflow information.
Assign Geographical Location
The Assign Geographical Location activity allows you to assign or remove geographical location information on a repository entry. Choose between options to clear existing location information or assign new location information. When assigning location data, you can either assign a single point using a pair of longitude and latitude coordinates or define custom geographical information.
Workflow Server Enhanced Security Options
Administrators have additional options for controlling access to Workflow Server information. In the Workflow Configuration Manager, the Workflow Server Configuration Wizard includes a new Workflow Server Security Settings step to turn on the new security options. The additional options can also be turned on individually through the General tab in the Advanced Server Options of the Workflow Administration Console.
- Do not allow common profiles: Workflow will prevent users from creating common profiles in the Profile Manager.
- Do not include connection profiles in exported workflows: Workflow will remove credential information from connection profiles in exported .wfi files.
- Only show workflows to their creators by default: For newly created workflows, Workflow will automatically turn on the Only allow specified users to access the workflow option that is available when viewing Workflow Options in the Workflow Definitions node in the Workflow Administration Console.
- Allow Workflow server to advertise itself on the network: The Choose Workflow Server dialog box in the Workflow Designer and the Workflow Administration Console will no longer automatically include the Workflow server hostname in the drop-down list.
Additional Changes and Fixes
- You can no longer view a workflow if you do not have explicit allowed access to the workflow. (171091)
- By default, newly created data sources are only viewable to the creator. (168156)
- Workflow can now display a warning message when when you attempt to publish changes to a workflow that has been republished while you were editing. The Notify when publishing an older workflow option is located in the Workflow Administration Console->Advanced Server Options->General tab.
- The Routing Decision activity is no longer available in the toolbox. Instead, use the Conditional Decision activity, which is functionally identical to the Routing Decision activity. Existing workflows containing the old Routing Decision activity will continue to function as normal, but you will not be able to add the Routing Decision activity when creating or modifying workflows. (146416)
- You now have the option to allow tokens in the pattern when configuring an Apply Text Annotation activity. (128854)
- The Find Entry, Find Entries, and Search Repository activities now support retrieving the Checked Out Date property. (129751)
