Summary

The Laserfiche account migration tool can move repository user accounts from Laserfiche Server to Laserfiche Directory Server 10.4 and laster. It can then map Laserfiche Forms users authenticating through Laserfiche Server repository named users to the new Directory Server accounts.

Note: The Laserfiche Account Migration Tool supports migration of a Laserfiche Avante repository to any Laserfiche Directory Server site. Migration of a Laserfiche Rio repository to the same Laserfiche Directory Server site is also supported. However, if a Laserfiche Rio repository is migrated to a different Directory Server site, there may be a SID conflict. This occurs due to the new Directory Server having no knowledge of the old Directory Server.

Laserfiche Forms participants and LDAP Forms participants are migrated without use of this utility, but should be performed at the same time. See the documentation included with the downloaded utility.

The migration tool does not modify your Laserfiche Workflow repository connection profile information. Connection profiles using repository user accounts must be manually updated. Alternatively, exclude those repository users from the migration.

Updated October 2022 for the following changes:

• The utility will no longer display a "The given key was not present in the dictionary" error when repository users or groups have a trustee ID of 3, 4, or 5. (195689 )
• If repository users have been chosen to receive email notifications for suspended processes, these notification settings are now preserved through a migration. (377252)
