Summary

When upgrading from Laserfiche WebLink 8.2.2 to WebLink 10, additional configuration is required to ensure that settings are imported with the Settings Bundler.

Resolution

After you export the settings from WebLink 8, do the following:

1. Open the folder containing the settings that are being exported. In this folder, rename the "WebLink8" folder to "WebLink".
2. Similarly, open the WLConfig.xml file, locate the block that starts with:

   <VirtualDirectory Name="WebLink8" SiteID="1"

   and replace WebLink8 with WebLink.

Note: These instructions assume that you are using the Default Web Site in IIS, which uses the SiteID 1.

Once you have followed these instructions, you can import the folder containing the settings into WebLink 10.
