Laserfiche App

Summary

The Laserfiche app is an Android, iOS, and Windows app that lets you capture, upload, and securely access and work with documents and forms in and outside your Laserfiche repository while on the go. This article highlights new features and changes for the Laserfiche Mobile Server, Android app, iOS app, and Windows app.

Overview of New Features in the Android, iOS, and Windows Apps

  • A new Clear Search button lets you clear all search criteria and start from scratch when searching in the Search pane or in Maps.
  • Searches saved when searching in the repository or in Maps will all be displayed in the saved search list when viewing the list in both the repository and Maps.
  • A location can be added to a newly uploaded photo or electronic document. The location can be extracted from a photo's EXIF data, retrieved from the device's current location, or selected on a map. It can also be modified, deleted and edited in the Metadata pane.
  • Offline documents and folders will now be automatically synced when the Laserfiche app is minimized and then maximized on Android and iOS.
  • Administrators can use Mobile Device Management software to remotely configure specific app and certificate settings on Android and iOS.

Laserfiche Cloud users will receive these additional features

  • When deleting documents, pages, electronic files, or folders, the items can now be sent to a recycle bin instead of being immediately deleted.
  • Offline and online documents can now be automatically synced at regular time intervals.
  • Google Maps is now the map used when working with document locations on iOS, Android, and Windows.
  • You can now search for documents by their location description.
