Summary

This article details hotfix 101952 for Quick Fields 10.3, which resolves the following issues:

• Quick Fields no longer unexpectedly closes when reviewing documents with numerous multi-value field (or multi-value field group) instances. (33736)
• In Quick Fields, when any process is configured under Pre-Classification Processing,"Error writing XML.%s" is no longer displayed in the Output and Processing Information pane when using Laserfiche Capture Engine with Keep each entry as a separate document selected. The documents also now process correctly. (58823)
• In Quick Fields, you no longer have to select If the entry already has Laserfiche pages, overwrite them option in order for electronic documents with text, scanned with Laserfiche Capture Engine, to be processed correctly when scanning. (60648)
• In Quick Fields, text fields longer than 50 characters now properly display as a multi-line field. (66420)
• Quick Fields Agent now properly ends Laserfiche Capture Engine processes after running. (68035)
• Local sessions opened in Quick Fields are no longer marked as "modified" without making any changes to them. You will also no longer receive a prompt to save the session, without modifications, when closing it. (76755)
• Session responsiveness no longer graudally decresases when clicking through documents in the Document Revision pane in Quick Fields. (77114)
• A Quick Fields session that reads barcodes now processes without errors and populates the barcode value correctly in Quick Fields. (82931)
• You no longer received an error when viewing a schedule in Quick Fields Agent (MMC desktop orWeb Administration Console) after 16 schedules have been created. (83280)
• In Quick Fields Scanning, required fields, fields with constraints, and certain field types should display an error when field data is not entered correctly, or at all in the case of required fields. Multi-value field group instances after the first one were not displaying errors correctly. This issue has been resolved. (94099)
• In Quick Fields Scanning, multi-value dynamic fields that contain values in a required field no longer display a "Required fields must have a value" error and the document can now be stored successfully. (91055)

Known Issue

The following issue has not been resolved:

• A template containing a real-time lookup in a multi-value field group is assigned to a document class. Documents are scanned with Quick Fields and assigned this document class containing this template. After viewing one document containing all the multi-value field groups, multi-value field groups displayed after the first one disappear when viewing subsequent documents. (93690)

Resolution

To update Quick Fields 10.3

The Quick Fields 10.3 hotfix 1013952 contains a service pack that will update Quick Fields and Quick Fields Scanning.

Extract and run QuickFields_x86_103081_KB1013952.msp on the same machine as Quick Fields and Quick Fields Scanning. If they are on different machines, the msp file will need to be installed on both machines.
