WebLink 10

Summary

WebLink 10 includes many new features and enhancements, improving the WebLink experience and making it easier to customize WebLink.

New Features

Improved WebLink Website

The WebLink website has been updated, providing a more responsive design and a more modern feel. It also includes support for several new Laserfiche Server features.

Web-Based WebLink Designer

In prior versions of WebLink, the WebLink Designer was a desktop application. WebLink Designer is now a web-based application, allowing administrative users to customize the website from any computer, and providing a modern, streamlined user interface for customizing WebLink's design.

Improved Search Form Interface

The updated WebLink Designer includes a streamlined, improved search form designer. The same functionality is available as in prior versions of the search form designer, but in a more easy-to-use interface.

Other Improvements

WebLink also includes the following new features:

  • Document thumbnails can now be viewed when browsing documents in the folder browser.
  • WebLink now supports single sign-on with Laserfiche Directory Server.
  • Multi-value field groups and redaction reasons, features introduced in Laserfiche 10.3, are now supported in WebLink.

More Information

The following minor changes and fixes were also added to WebLink 10:

  • Resolved an issue that could cause users to be logged out, or searches to fail, when WebLink is open in multiple tabs. (50368)
  • When the grid view for searching was enabled, some searches would return a "No results found" error before correctly displaying results. This issue has been resolved. (29969, 137427)
  • Repository names containing accented characters now display correctly. (29992, 139837)
  • When opening WebLink using a link generated by Laserfiche Connector, single-result searches now correctly open the document. (29968, 148892)
  • In some cases, customization of the DefaultSortColumn parameter in search.aspx resulted in a "Compilation Error" message. This issue has been resolved. (29964, 148897)
  • Resolved an issue in which sessions could be disconnected when opening a document using a URL with the openpdf=true parameter. (29970, 146123)
