Summary

When working in Audit Trail, you may notice missing user interface elements in the Audit Trail Reporting Page. For example, the checkboxes next to the Event Types options and toolbar buttons may be missing, and gray boxes may appear instead of buttons. When looking at a network trace, you may see 404 error messages involving /AuditTrail/images/icons/audit_trail.svg.

Cause

Internet Information Services (IIS) is missing a MIME type handler for SVG files.

Resolution

You will need to add a .svg extension MIME type handler to the web server or to the Audit Trail application.

1. Open IIS and click on the web server or on the Audit Trail application.
2. Open MIME Types.
3. Under Actions on the right, click on Add....
4. Add an entry for the .svg extension with type image/svg+xml.
