Known Issues

  • When using Laserfiche Connector on a remote desktop, and when using OCR to analyze a window, you may get unexpected results if the target application is partially hidden by another application. Ensure the application you are targeting does not have any windows or applications showing in front of it. (128129)
  • If the control you are getting information from has a / (forward slash) in its ID, the profile will not run correctly. Escape the slash by adding \\ (two backslashes) before it in the profile's XML. (146019)
  • The %(Count) token is not resolved when a Laserfiche Connector profile runs. (140853)
  • When selecting a control in Chrome with UI automation, you cannot select controls hidden behind a scroll bar inside an iFrame that has a different source. (120818)
  • If you change text size through Personalize -> Display in Windows, Laserfiche Connector selection rectangles may be offset in certain applications. To get the rectangles to be position correctly, open the properties for the target application and select "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" on the Compatibility tab. After you've configured Laserfiche Connector, you can clear this option. (127127)
  • When selecting an application with the Profile Creator, you cannot select a browser window when the browser is in full screen mode. (117931)
  • When a Firefox browser is in full screen mode, clicking the overlay button will make the action list disappear. (117566)
  • If you take a screenshot of a web page that is zoomed in or zoomed out, the quality may suffer. Screenshot pages at 100% zoom level. (147987)
  • When selecting a control in Chrome with UI automation, Chrome will crash if you select an application on a web page that has a multi-selection element. (121613)
  • If a profile is configured to prompt for login information when scanning in the Laserfiche Windows client, and the user enters Windows account credentials instead of Laserfiche account credentials, Laserfiche Scanning will encounter an error. Change the profile to use Windows authentication if users will be logging in with their Windows account credentials. (122203)
  • Controls cannot be selected on web pages opened in Microsoft Edge if JavaScript was used to analyze the page. Use UI automation or OCR to analyze the page instead. (129428)
  • When OCRing a web page opened in Microsoft Edge, the browser's title and menu will be included in the OCR results. (129429)
  • Data cannot be written to Chrome or Firefox if you used UI Automation to analyze the page. Select the JavaScript option to analyze the page instead. (147735)
  • Data cannot be submitted after it is written in Chrome, Firefox, or IE if you used UI Automation to analyze the page. Select the JavaScript option to analyze the page instead. (147736)
  • When running a Laserfiche Connector action from Microsoft Edge, the Laserfiche Connector button may disappear from the target application while the action is running. (129511)
  • Laserfiche Connector cannot detect a document opened in the Laserfiche Windows client when Laserfiche Connector is run as an administrator and the Laserfiche Windows client is not run as an administrator. See KB 1013271 (139666)
  • When retrieving values from, or writing values to, a control with UI Automation, only the first 4096 characters will be retrieved or written. (141235)
  • You cannot both retrieve values from and write values to the same window in a Java application. (140943)
  • When scrolling to take screenshots on a web page, the main page will scroll but embedded iFrames won't. (147737)
  • When connecting Laserfiche Cloud to Laserfiche Connector, use the URL http://webaccess.laserfiche.com/laserfiche not https://webaccess.laserfiche.com/repo=r000ab000. (143765)
  • When using Laserfiche Connector to import into the Laserfiche Windows client, dates will use the format: Wed, 20 Jan 2010 00:00:00 GMT instead of the current machine's date format. (142956)
  • When applying a regular expression, formatting, or function to a multi-value token, the values will be combined with a semi-colon separator between each value. (147734).
