Summary

When using a mobile device to view a document in WebLink 9 and the document is located in a folder where you cannot directly browse to that folder location, you may receive the following error page:

    The system has encountered an error and could not complete your request.

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for WebLink 9 Service Pack 1. The hotfix includes the following files:

  • Browse.aspx.vb
  • Connected.vb
  • DocViewM.aspx.vb
  • MyWebLink.aspx.vb
  • Search.aspx.vb
  • WebLink.dll (9.0.1.286)
  • WebLinkCommon.dll (9.0.1.286)
  • WebLinkControls.dll (9.0.1.286)

Note: This hotfix can only be applied over WebLink 9 Service Pack 1.

To update WebLink 9 Service Pack 1

  1. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix.

    KB1013828.zip

  2. Extract the contents of the zip file to a temporary location.
  3. Replace the .vb files located in the Web Files subfolder of your WebLink installation location. By default, the path is C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\WebLink\Web Files.
  4. Replace the .dll files located in the Web Files\bin subfolder. By default, the path is C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\WebLink\Web Files\bin.
  5. Restart IIS.
