Summary

This article details Update 1 for Quick Fields, Quick Fields Scanning, and the Quick Fields Server.

Quick Fields

  • A session's samples (.txt, .pdf, .loc, and .tif) are no longer duplicated in the local AppData folder when overwriting the session. (146012)
  • Publishing a document class in Quick Fields no longer incorrectly enables Last Page Identification. (146203)
  • A user can now successfully select a table when configuring a Lookup process in Quick Fields when the Workflow Designer is installed on the same machine. (146095)
  • The Lookup process now runs successfully (without any errors) in Quick Fields when the Workflow Designer is installed on the same machine. (146140)
  • The Token Verification process now runs successfully (without any errors) in Quick Fields when the Workflow Designer is installed on the same machine. (146228)
  • Quick Fields 9 sessions with process profile permissions configured will now open successfully in Quick Fields 10. (146244)
  • Publishing sessions in the French or Spanish versions of Quick Fields no longer erases Universal Capture from the XML file, resulting in an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error. (145628)
  • Quick Fields 10 now successfully recognizes some Code 93 barcodes. (145691)
  • Publishing a session in Quick Fields that contains a Token Collector process no longer throws a name conflict error or deletes the Token Collector's name. (146009)
  • In the Spanish version of Quick Fields, an error is no longer returned when Auto-OMR, Auto-Annotation, Color Removal, Fixed Annotation, Form Extraction, Line Removal, Optical Mark Recognition, Page Size Identification, or Permanent Stamp are used in Pre-Classification Processing. (145977)
  • Quick Fields no longer takes approximately 30 seconds to connect to the repository before the Laserfiche Capture Engine starts scanning if the Laserfiche Server listening port is 81 and SSL is configured. (146905)
  • You are now able to connect to a repository via SSL using Laserfiche Capture Engine when the Laserfiche Server listening port is set to 81 and port 49154 is blocked (146895).
  • The error "The specified server is invalid" no longer appears when using https when configuring the Quick Fields Server in the Configure Server dialog box. (147056)
  • A Border Padding, Border Removal, Crop, or Resize process no longer must precede a Barcode process in order for PNG barcodes to be read successfully. (146442)
  • The Quick Fields 10 barcode reader now removes the start/stop characters from codabar barcodes. (147184)
  • Quick Fields BPSession81.exe no longer crashes when using a Barcode process with certain PNGs. (147000)
  • Token Collector processes are now renamed properly when you copy/paste and paste them. (113470)
  • When configuring Laserfiche Capture Engine to retrieve files from a Laserfiche Cloud repository location, the path no longer automatically populates the Laserfiche Cloud repository name, resulting in an error. (146365) (146920)
  • The Quick Fields Session Updater no longer reports a connection error when using Laserfiche Capture Engine connected to Laserfiche Cloud. (146363)

Quick Fields Scanning

  • A Token Accumulator process, configured under Page Processing in Quick Fields, no longer causes Quick Fields Scanning to skip First Page Identification conditions. (145949)
  • When a document is open in Document View, Quick Fields Scanning no longer crashes when selecting multiple documents in the Document List Pane, then deselecting a selected document. (145961)
  • The Barcode process now works in Quick Fields Scanning when configured under First Page Identification in Quick Fields. (146335)
  • The Bates Numbering process now increments correctly by page when the session results in multiple documents. (146275)
  • Scanning a text only document (i.e., .txt) and attempting to move to a different page using the generated thumbnails no longer throws a NullReference error or crashes Quick Fields Scanning. (146080)
  • The Lookup process now runs successfully in Quick Fields Scanning when the Workflow Designer is installed on the same machine. (146223)
  • The Real-Time Lookup process now runs successfully (without any errors) in Quick Fields Scanning when the Workflow Designer is installed on the same machine. (146224)
  • The Token Verification process now runs successfully (without any errors) in Quick Fields Scanning when the Workflow Designer is installed on the same machine. (146229)
  • Quick Fields Scanning no longer throws an error when opening a session that contains a Conditional process in Last Page Identification or Page Processing. (146206)
  • When a Conditional process is configured under Page Processing in Quick Fields, and the session is run in Quick Fields Scanning, the %(Conditional_Is Satisfied) token no longer resolves to 0, -1 if the document has multiple pages. (146209)
  • When a Form Identification process is configured under Pre-Classification Processing in Quick Fields, the error "An error occurred while loading the configuration" will no longer appear when opening the session in Quick Fields Scanning. (146370)
  • The Real-Time Lookup process now logs information to the Messages Pane when run in Quick Field Scanning. (146249)
  • The "Mark field with an icon" option for the Token Verification process now successfully works in Quick Fields Scanning. (146247)
  • Quick Fields Scanning will now successfully use Barcode 9.1 if it is installed. (146457)
  • The Laserfiche Server drop-down menu now displays the port the Laserfiche Server is using (if it's not using the default port) in the Laserfiche Capture Engine dialog box. (147339)
  • You can now connect to a Laserfiche Server using SSL when configuring Laserfiche Capture Engine in Quick Fields Scanning. (147341)
  • QFProcessRunner.exe no longer crashes when using a Barcode process on specific PNGs. (147001)
  • Bates Numbering no longer begins with the same number each time the document class is run in Quick Fields Scanning. (146338)

  • The Quick Fields Server database connection password is now encrypted in the configuration file. (146239)
  • When the Quick Fields Server is installed on Domain A and has a two-way trust relationship with Domain B, you can now successfully add users to Domain B. (146928)
