Summary

This article details hotfix 1013787 for the Laserfiche SIGNiX Integration. The update resolves the following issue:

• Errors are now correctly written to the Windows application event log. (146082)
• Errors originating with the SIGNiX server are now correctly identified as such.
• Various issues encountered when generating pages from PDFs have been resolved.

Resolution

Note: This update is included as part of the Laserfiche SIGNiX Integration installation packages available on the Laserfiche Support Site after July 5, 2016. If you have not yet installed the SIGNiX integration, please download the most recent version. If you need to update an existing installation, follow the steps below.

The Laserfiche SIGNiX Integration Hotfix cannot be updated in place. To install the hotfix, perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to the SIGNiX Integration installation location (by default, C:\Program Files (x86)\Laserfiche\SIGNiX Integration).
2. Copy the web.config file and save it to another location.
3. Open Programs and Features in the Windows Control Panel and uninstall Laserfiche SIGNiX Integration Web Service. (You do not need to uninstall any other programs or components.)
4. Click the following link to download a ZIP file containing the hotfix MSI.

   KB1013787.zip

5. Extract the contents of the ZIP file to a temporary location
6. Run LF SIGNiX Integration Installer.msi to update the Laserfiche SIGNiX Integration.
7. When the installation has completed, navigate to the SIGNiX Integration installation location (by default, C:\Program Files (x86)\Laserfiche\SIGNiX Integration).
8. Copy the web.config file that you backed up in step 2 into the SIGNiX Integration installation location (by default, C:\Program Files (x86)\Laserfiche\SIGNiX Integration), replacing the existing web.config file.
