Summary

When using the Straighten option in Laserfiche PhotoDocs 9.2.1, you may receive the following error message:

Failed to crop image. [PD20-161].

Cause

PhotoDocs 9.2.1 is unable to correctly load a dependency on a version 9.1 component.

Workaround

There is a hotfix for Laserfiche PhotoDocs 9.2.1 that includes an updated version of PhotoDocs.exe and a copy of the necessary 9.1 component.

Click the following link to download a ZIP file containing an updated version of PhotoDocs.exe (9.2.1.635) and the 32-bit version of LfWicUtil91.dll (9.1.1.589).

1. Browse to the PhotoDocs installation folder and replace the existing version of PhotoDocs.exe with the updated EXE file included in the ZIP file. By default, PhotoDocs is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Laserfiche\Client\PhotoDocs or C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Client\PhotoDocs.
2. On 64-bit versions of Windows, place LFWicUtil91.dll in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Laserfiche\9.1. On 32-bit versions of Windows, place LfWicUtil91.dll in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\9.1.
