Laserfiche Mobile is an Android, iOS, and Windows app that lets you capture, upload, and securely access and work with documents and forms inside your Laserfiche repository while on the go.

There are no service packs or hotfixes for Laserfiche Mobile 9.3.

System and Software Requirements for Laserfiche Mobile 9.3

Minimum System Requirements for the Laserfiche Mobile Server

If image processing is enabled, it is recommended that the Laserfiche Mobile Server be installed on a machine with a minimum of two cores and should not be installed on the machine that also hosts the Laserfiche Server or database.

Laserfiche Components

You must have one the following configurations:

  • Laserfiche Rio 8.3 or later
  • Laserfiche Avante 8.3 or later and Laserfiche Forms 9.2 or later
  • Laserfiche Avante 8.3 or later and Web Access
  • Optional: Add Laserfiche Forms 9.2 or later to Laserfiche Rio 8.3 or later to interact with forms. Add Laserfiche Forms 9.2.1 or later to Laserfiche Rio 9.2.1 or later to interact with drafts in Forms.

    Note: If you do not have Laserfiche Forms, you will still be able to use the app, but you will not be able to perform forms actions. You can also use the app to only review and submit forms. You are not required to connect to a repository.

    Note: Laserfiche 9.2.1 is required for full functionality.

Known Issues

Windows Store App (Version 9.3.0.345)

  • If accessing a Forms server via the web using a certificate that's not trusted, you will receive a "The certificate for this server is untrusted" error. See the Troubleshooting page of the help files for more information. (128947)
  • If you want to print to a Samsung printer, you will need to share the Laserfiche image document with the Samsung Printing Experience app. (127669)
  • You can only open Laserfiche Mobile email links in Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari. (128489)
  • You cannot jump to another page using the thumbnails when looking at an electronic document in the Document Viewer. (127735)
  • If you take a picture in portrait view, some devices' (e.g., Asus, Vivo tablet) camera view may not extend to the edges of the screen. (128249)
  • When you rotate an image or change its color, then press Crop to crop it, the image is cut off. (131991)

Windows Phone Store App (Version 2015.824.0.1)

  • When uploading an existing file, it will always default to the local gallery instead of the last source location. (129783)
  • If using a Nokia phone, the picture in camera view and the one saved to the photo gallery may have a dark gray overlay around it. (127334)
  • You can only open Laserfiche Mobile email links (e.g., lfmobile://) successfully from Outlook on the phone. The link will not open in Internet Explorer on the Windows Phone. (128490)
  • You will need to scroll left and right or zoom out to view the entire page of an electronic document. (127482)
  • If using a Windows 10 phone, you will see a watermark when you view a PDF as an electronic document. (130347)
  • A watermark will be displayed on PDFs when viewed in Laserfiche Mobile. This is due to a Windows Phone Store migration issue. Exporting/sharing a PDF does not display the watermark.
  • Due to a Windows Phone Store issue (and migrating to Windows 10), the app version for the phone is 2015.819.0.1 (which is equivalent to the Windows Store App version 9.3.0.345)

Both Windows Apps

  • Image editing cannot be performed on TIFF or GIF files. (129231)
  • When editing an image, if your device has a low resolution, the image will barely zoom in when using your fingers. (128275)
  • "The underlying connection was closed" error will appear if you add a Forms server to the Configuration Page that has a certificate that is not trusted. See KB 1013640 for more information. (126525)
  • Leaving Laserfiche Mobile to view another app sometimes requires you to restart Laserfiche Mobile (129096).
  • If you belong to a group that has been assigned the submitter role, you will not be able to see forms processes in the app. (129153)
  • You cannot open a document from another application in Laserfiche Mobile. (129865)
  • The defined cropping area moves when navigating away from and back to Crop mode. (131927)
  • Sometimes, cropping a PNG and choosing to upload is as the original colored document fails. You can, however, crop and upload it as a B&W or Grey document. (131924)
