This article details Service Pack 1 for Laserfiche 9.2.1.

Service Pack 1 includes updates for Laserfiche Server, the Full-Text Search Engine, Audit Trail, Laserfiche Client, the Administration Console, Snapshot, and Scanning.

Laserfiche Server

  • Search performance has been improved for certain types of AND (&) searches. The optimization only takes effect when the Resolve shortcuts option is not enabled. (125703)
  • Laserfiche Server could become unstable when Laserfiche Client 7.2.1 attempts to connect to a repository. This issue is now resolved. (126716)
  • You no longer receive a "Could not export briefcase. (Unknown internal error. [9036])" error when exporting a page that contains a redaction that covers a majority of the page. (126861)
  • Laserfiche Server could become unstable when Web Access attempts to connect and the client's locale is using a country code that is longer than 2 characters. This issue is now resolved. (127107)
  • The Laserfiche Repository performance counters now properly show the list of available repositories in Performance Monitor. (127155)
  • Laserfiche Server is now better optimized when closing idle connections to the SQL database. (127182, 129322)
  • Laserfiche Server no longer becomes unstable when processing a field search that contains a large number of field values. (128164)
  • Text field search performance is improved when using Oracle 11g. (128714)
  • In certain situations, volume import could create duplicate date and time field definitions. This issue is now resolved. (128829)
  • Search performance is improved when using the Document/Folder Name type search in the Laserfiche Client to do a Document search. (130298)

Audit Trail

  • The Audit Trail Reporting site now correctly loads audit logs stored in a folder not managed by the Laserfiche Server. (127891)
  • Audit reports pulling from a Microsoft SQL Server 2012 database did not automatically update with new data without either restarting the Audit Reporting service or first changing the date range on the report. This issue is now resolved. (125202)
  • Audit Trail Reporting could fail to create reporting databases on Oracle. This issue is now resolved. (127958)

Laserfiche Client

  • Laserfiche Client no longer displays a "The specified attachment was not selected for separation. [3505]" error when importing an email with attachments using the option to file attachments separately and there is an attachment without a name. Laserfiche now automatically names such attachments Untitled Attachment. (129490)
  • User accounts without the Process feature right can no longer generate Laserfiche image pages for PDF files on import. (127403)
  • There was a potential stability issue when opening a large number of documents in a single Laserfiche Client instance. This issue is now resolved. (128897)
  • The import process now correctly respects the name conflict options when the Autoname option has a Default Document Name with a token and the Importing files option is enabled. (129003)
  • Certain types of PDF files could cause the Generate Pages option to display an "Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection." error when the "Preserve PDF annotations on Laserfiche pages" option is enabled. This issue is now resolved. (128953)
  • 1013655 The Laserfiche Client 9.2 Metadata Dialog Box May Be Unable To Properly Display Drop-Down List Items With Certain Versions Of Internet Explorer 11. (125682)
  • The Laserfiche Client may not display certain dynamic fields in the Search Pane when logged in to multiple repositories. This issue affects dynamic fields in templates that that have the same ID as another template in the second repository. (130319)

  • When viewing trustee attributes, the Export option is now available for account names that contain characters that are invalid for Windows file names.(126349)

Snapshot

  • Snapshot no longer tries to use port 80 to retrieve a list of repositories from Laserfiche Server when SSL is enabled. (127602)
  • Snapshot Configuration now allows you to manually type in Windows credentials with Windows authentication. (123033)

Scanning

  • Child dynamic field values did not load correctly when using the keyboard to type into the parent dynamic field. This issue is now resolved. (129143)

Resolution

Note: This update is included as part of the Laserfiche Avante 9.2.1 and Laserfiche Rio 9.2.1 installation packages available on the Laserfiche Support Site after August 5, 2015. When using the updated installation to install Laserfiche for the first time, the installation process will automatically detect and install the service pack. If you have not yet installed Laserfiche, please download the most recent version of the Laserfiche Avante or Laserfiche Rio installations. If you need to update an existing Laserfiche Avante or Laserfiche Rio installation, please download the following zip file.

Note: Service Pack 1 was updated on August 12, 2015 to address an issue updating certain components on some 64-bit versions of Windows. If you downloaded this update before August 12, 2015, please re-download the service pack. If you have previously installed Service Pack 1 and are encountering issues with starting Laserfiche 9.2.1 x64 programs, uninstall the affected client program and reinstall 9.2.1 and Service Pack 1.

Note: Service Pack 1 was updated on August 19, 2015 to address a regression involving setting child dynamic field values. The updated service pack can be installed on top of an existing installation of Scanning 9.2.1 Service Pack 1.
