Configuring The PDF Form Activities In Workflow To Support Check Box Groups.

Summary

By default, the Fill Out PDF Form and Retrieve PDF Form Content activities in Laserfiche Workflow treat PDF files that contain check box groups as a single check box. When selecting the check box group field in the master form, the activities only allow for the Checked or Unchecked values.

Resolution

To allow Workflow to treat these types of check box groups as a set of radio buttons, create an XML document named PDFCheckboxAppearances.xml in the Laserfiche Workflow Designer installation folder. By default, place the XML document in C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Laserfiche Workflow 9.

The XML document should contain the following line:

<Checkboxes Enabled="True" ClearStandardValues="False" />

  • Laserfiche Workflow 9.1.1 with hotfix 1013512 or later
  • Laserfiche Workflow 9.2 and higher
