Summary

Upon submitting a form, Laserfiche Forms does not properly start the process. The Windows Event Log contains an entry similar to the following:

"" is an invalid expanded name from the string called expandedName."

Resolution

The form contains a variable with no name. Use the Form Designer to rename the variable or remove the variable.

1. View the appropriate form in the Form Designer.
2. In the Form Designer, click the Variables tab.
3. Find the variable with no name and click the settings button to open the Variable Settings dialog box and either specify a name or use the Delete button to remove the variable.
