WebLink
- The WebLink user interface has been updated and modernized, with new logos, images, and improved look and feel.
- Audio and video files can now be streamed directly through WebLink without having to be locally downloaded.
- All WebLink components fully support Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA accessibility standards.
- To ensure that connections are available for users, WebLink will detect bot sessions accessing your repository and ensure that their connection does not persist, and will default to requiring all user connections to have cookies enabled.
- The WebLink interface has been improved for phones and tablets.
- Searching has been enhanced to be more intuitive, bringing search results more in line with functionality that users are already familiar with in web browsers and when searching in Windows.
- The WebLink Document Viewer now supports rotating pages.
- Columns configured for a user in the Laserfiche Client or Web Access 9.1 and later will now be reflected in WebLink.
- The annotations pane has been expanded to include information about all annotations aside from redactions.
- The default WebLink virtual directory has been renamed to "WebLink". Existing URLs using "WebLink8" will be automatically redirected.
- Custom options saved by individual users in the user's cookies can be cleared by the user in MyWeblink.
WebLink Designer
- Fuzzy search settings configured in WebLink Designer will now apply to indexed search types.
- Administrators can enable the resolve shortcuts option for all searches.
- The ability to display search results in a search grid has been simplified to a single parameter change in the ASPX pages.
- Code comments have been added to give instructions for common customizations.
- It is no longer necessary to specify an image for all available logos and backgrounds.
WebLink Administration Utility
- Administrators can now specify a logging level for troubleshooting purposes.
- WebLink can now be configured to use authenticated SMTP servers that are not in the same domain.
- URL links to documents with different dbids can now be opened at the same time. (123856)
- Quick search behavior has been made consistent across all pages. (123620)
- SSL connections between WebLink and the Laserfiche Server do not require port 80 to be open. (122965)
- Downloading electronic documents in Internet Explorer now defaults to using their name as the file name. (119886)
- An issue that prevented LDAP trustees from logging into WebLink in some circumstances has been resolved. (117835)
- Literal controls and query string parameters have been sanitized to protect against XSS. (111970)
- In the WebLink Search Form Designer, the "is empty" condition now behaves as expected. (110937)
- WebLink can now be configured to allow downloading electronic documents larger than 1GB. (106721)
- Documents with a document relationship connecting them to a folder can now be opened. (105469)
- In some circumstances, WebLink crashed when generating thumbnails for large documents. This has been resolved. (104382)
- Logging in by manually linking to login.aspx now correctly redirects to your specified starting page. (102401)
- User without the Export feature right will be correctly notified that they do not have sufficient permissions when they attempt to open an electronic document. (86819)
- WebLink no longer returns a server error when accept-encoding is disabled. (86777)
- WebLink now supports PDFs with commas in the file name. (84439)
- The Weblink Welcome Page title now correctly displays Chinese characters. (80703)
- Direct linking to an electronic document no longer requires the user to log in before clicking the link. (77939)
