WebLink Server System Requirements

Minimum requirements

  • CPU: 2 GHz or faster processor
  • Memory: 1 GB RAM
  • Operating system: Windows Vista (Service Pack 2), Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2

Recommended Requirements

  • CPU: 2.8 GHz or faster processor
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM
  • Server operating system: Windows Server 2008 x64, Windows Server 2012 x64, Windows Server 2012 R2 x64

    • Note: Hardware requirements may fluctuate based on the number of users logged in to the server. If you expect to have many simultaneous connections to your Web Access server, we encourage you to configure it with a faster CPU and/or add more RAM.

General Information

If you are using Windows Server 2012 or 2012 R2, you must enable the .NET Framework 4.5 Features and ASP.Net 4.5 options from the Add Features Wizard in the Server Manager prior to installing WebLink.

Ensure the following IIS features are installed:

  • Static Content
  • ASP.NET
  • Windows Authentication

WebLink includes language support for English, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), French, Italian, Portuguese (Brazilian) and Spanish. WebLink will be displayed in the user's browser language, and the WebLink Administrator's Utility and WebLink Designer will be displayed in the same language as the user's operating system. If the user's browser or operating system language is not supported, WebLink will default to English.

Installation Information

WebLink is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit. The installation process will automatically install the version corresponding to your version of Microsoft Windows.

Known Issues

Component Known Issue
WebLink In IE 8 or IE9, not all pages in large documents (1,000 pages or more) can be displayed (101830).
WebLink In IE 10, .mp4 video files play poorly when WebLink is not listed as a trusted site (123166).
WebLink When playing an audio file in WebLink, skipping ahead will cause the streaming interface to abruptly change (123383).
WebLink Sorting columns by tags will reverse the order of the listing, but sort entries based on the column value (123363).
WebLink In Firefox, CTRL + F5 hides part of the scrollbar in the WebLink Document Viewer. To fix this, refresh the browser (122023).
WebLink When adding search fields using a Samsung mobile device, users must open the search selection drop-down twice to add the field: once to select the field and once for the field to be added to the search criteria (123355).
WebLink WebLink does not support Windows Authentication in double-hop scenarios (123757).
WebLink Updating user attributes requires IIS to be reset in order to have WebLink recognize the changes (123644).
WebLink Designer After changing an image in the Images section of the Theme tab, previewing the page will display the old image until the page is manually refreshed in the browser (125037).
