Laserfiche App 9.2.1

Summary

Laserfiche Mobile is an iOS and Android app that enables you to capture, upload, and securely access and work with documents inside your Laserfiche repository while on the go. This article highlights new features and changes for Laserfiche Mobile Server 9.2.1 and the 9.2.2 version of the Android and iOS apps.

New Features for the Laserfiche Mobile Server

  • You can monitor when users sign in and out of a repository or Forms server and block specific users from using the Laserfiche Mobile app. These options are in the new Devices section of the Laserfiche Mobile Configuration Page.
  • Administrators can require users to enter a passcode to access copies of offline documents.
  • You can now add and work with forms on more than one Forms server.

New Features in the App

  • The Sign-In page has been redesigned and streamlined for efficiency.
  • The new Save to gallery option controls if photos you take to upload as pages of a new document will be saved to the local photo gallery of your device.
  • You can now upload documents from external storage apps (i.e., iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) using an iPhone or iPad. This feature is supported in iOS 8 and later.
  • Searching
    • You can access and run saved searches that were previously created and saved in Web Access.
    • You can search for documents that have a specific template assigned.
  • Tapping the document name in the Document Viewer allows you to modify its name.
  • There is a new Open In option that allows you to open Laserfiche imaged documents in another app.
  • When adding images to a new or existing document from your device's gallery or from pictures taken with your device's camera, you can edit the images before they are saved to the repository. Using the new image editing tool, you can rotate the images, change their color, and crop them.
  • Copies of documents can be saved for offline viewing when cellular service and Wi-Fi are not available. A passcode can be set up to protect these copies on your local device.
  • Launching an lfmobile:// link no longer crashes the mobile browser on Android devices.
  • Forms
    • The Laserfiche Mobile Forms inbox has been reorganized to be more intuitive. Pending Tasks, My History, and Drafts now have their own section and favorite forms are now listed at the top of the Fill Out Forms list.
    • You can now access forms you saved as drafts in the Laserfiche Mobile app.
