Laserfiche Full-Text Search Engine index catalog files may become corrupted when hosted on a VMware ESXi 5.x host. The Windows Event Log may record entries similar to the following:

LFFTS failed to read token. Btree pointers have errors, or link file is corrupted, btree word: nvvv, Current jump: 8641292938.

In addition, the ESXi 5.x host may fail with a purple diagnostic screen.
