Summary

Important: Service Pack 1 was updated on January 21, 2015 to resolve a regression involving indexing. If you have previously installed Service Pack 1, you can re-download the service pack and run Laserfiche920485_SP1_20150121.exe directly over the previous Service Pack 1 installation.

This article details Service Pack 1 (hotfix 1013588) for Laserfiche Server, the Full-Text Search Engine, Audit Trail Reporting, Laserfiche Client, and the Administration Console and Web Administration Console.

Laserfiche Server

  • The Laserfiche Server service could stop when receiving authentication information from certain legacy Laserfiche client programs. This issue is now resolved. (122767)
  • Service Pack 1 includes memory optimizations when indexing large repositories. (122636)
  • When processing certain search results, Laserfiche could attempt to retrieve results while the search is still running. This could cause Laserfiche to become unstable. This issue is now resolved. (122502)
  • LFSO80 programs may encounter an error 9008 when working with Laserfiche groups when connected to Laserfiche Server 9.2. This issue is now resolved. (122496)
  • You can now once again properly attach Laserfiche 7 volumes to Laserfiche Server 9.2 repositories. (122292, 122280, 122248)
  • In certain situations, logging in with the Laserfiche Client could display a "This server does not support the requested property. [774]" error message. This issue no longer occurs. (121930)
  • Non-system manager accounts can no longer view peripheral information associated with a repository such as search catalog information. (120245)
  • The Previous Hit and Next Hit buttons now properly advance through the context hits of the entire document instead of only the context hits on the current page. (121389)

  • The search index could become corrupted when processing certain word stems in non-English languages. This issue is now resolved. (121343)

Audit Trail

  • Adding a date range no longer shows the error, "[Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0]Datetime field overflow." (121907)
  • 1013568 A "Data source name not found and no default driver specified" Error Occurs In The Audit Trail 9.2 Configuration Wizard. (120868)

Laserfiche Client

  • Laserfiche may incorrectly open an outdated local temporary copy when opening an electronic document. This issue is now resolved. (122476)
  • The Document Viewer could close unexpectedly when rotating an image if the Thumbnails Pane is not open. (122600)
  • The Document Viewer could close unexpectedly when pasting pages into a document whose pages were just deleted. This issue is now resolved. (120550)
  • Laserfiche could become unresponsive periodically when submitting anonymous usage data. This issue is now resolved. (120822)
  • When applying custom stamps that contain tokens, the token values are replaced the first time that the stamp is applied. Subsequent attempts to apply the stamp only display the token label itself. This issue is now resolved. (120821)
  • Laserfiche may leave a connection over port 5051 open if there is an error establishing a notification open over SSL. (121697)
  • Laserfiche includes additional handling for displaying certain types of malformed TIFF files. (122074)
  • Generating pages for certain types of PDF files could produce images in landscape mode instead of portrait mode. This issue is now resolved. (122651)
  • The Client could be unduly restrictive when enforcing field constraints that include character ranges. The Client now properly supports character ranges in field constraints. (122239)

Note: This update is included as part of the Laserfiche Avante 9.2 and Laserfiche Rio 9.2 installation packages available on the Laserfiche Support Site after January 21, 2015. When using the updated installation to install Laserfiche 9.2 for the first time, the installation process will automatically detect and install the service pack. If you have not yet installed Laserfiche 9.2, please download the most recent version of the Laserfiche Avante or Laserfiche Rio installations. If you need to update an existing Laserfiche Avante or Laserfiche Rio installation, please download the following zip file.
