Summary

This article details Service Pack 2 (hotfix 1013574) for Laserfiche Server, the Full-Text Search Engine, Audit Trail Reporting, Laserfiche Client, Laserfiche Snapshot, the Administration Console and Web Administration Console, and Web Access 9.1.1. Laserfiche Server

  • There was a potential stability issue when processing certain template searches. This issue is now resolved. (116117)
  • In certain situations, recycling or moving an entry could unlock unrelated entries. This issue is now resolved. (117165)
  • Laserfiche Server could become unstable if a during a volume export, the process encounters certain SQL database error messages. (119010)
  • The Laserfiche Server no longer becomes unstable when processing searches involving OR searches of two wild card phrases. (117026)
  • The Laserfiche Client can now display a value for the Electronic File Last Modified column for document shortcuts. (112863)
  • Laserfiche Server could log errors when configuring a list field as a dynamic field. This issue is now resolved. (116558)
  • Canceling certain searches could cause Laserfiche to become unstable. This issue is now resolved. (117614)

Laserfiche Full-Text Search Engine

  • The search index could become corrupted when processing certain word stems in non-English languages. This issue is now resolved. (121343)

Audit Trail Reporting Website

  • Audit Trail Reporting 9.1 may not properly import audit reason values into the reporting database for export and print events. This issue is now resolved for new reporting databases. If you have a reporting database that is affected by this issue, detach the existing reporting database and use the Audit Trail Configuration page to recreate a reporting database. (119403)

Laserfiche Client

  • The Client now enforces an edge case involving being able to modify the metadata for documents that are on a read-only volume. (119882)
  • In rare situations, the Client could become unstable when saving metadata quickly and the [Settings]MaxDropDownLength attribute is configured. This issue no longer occurs. (119865)
  • Laserfiche now properly deletes the temporary copies of electronic files opened in read-only mode. (117606)
  • The Folder Browser and Search Results panes now properly displays field names that contain a & character as column headings. (116341)
  • Laserfiche now displays a "Path too long. [90007]" error instead of becoming unstable when exporting folder contents that result in a path longer than 260 characters. (115836)
  • You no longer have to close and reopen the Document Viewer to load dynamic field values after copying and pasting a page into the document. (115761)
  • Laserfiche no longer displays an "Invalid Pointer" message if OCR results in more than 28800 characters on a page. (116966)
  • There is now a more optimized process for exporting large PDF files. Previously, the export process could create a corrupted PDF. (119682)

Administration Console

  • The Administration Console could potentially display incorrect properties for users after migrating to a new domain. This issue is now resolved. (117769)
  • The Administration Console can now properly display the repository list when connecting over SSL and windows authentication is not available. (120647)
  • When the Administration Console is configured to display in a non-English language, creating a new LDAP profile could result in an "Attempted an unsupported operation." message. This issue is now resolved. (119284)

Snapshot

  • 1013509 Laserfiche Snapshot 9 May Not Properly Use the Selected OCR Language Option When Viewing Snapshot Configuration With A Language Pack. (116055)
  • 1013469 An "Importing the document failed because there was an error assigning template or field data for template 'TemplateName'." Error Occurs When Printing To Laserfiche Snapshot 9.1.1. (112107)

Web Access

  • In certain situations, Web Access could display a "Could not retrieve information from server" message when connecting to Laserfiche over SSL. This issue is now resolved. (121530)
  • Web Access no longer displays an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error when moving a freehand annotation that contains line breaks. (121290)
  • 1013541 A "Validation of viewstate MAC failed" Error Occurs When Logging In To Web Access 9 After Installing Windows Updates 2894854, 2894855, or 2894856. (119558)
  • The Web Access Configuration Page now properly supports communicating over SSL when performing a latency check. (116063)
  • Web Access now properly supports saving the default value assigned to a dynamic field when that default value is not in the linked external table. (111501)
  • Web Access now properly supports the %(parent) token as a default value in dynamic fields. (120585)

Resolution

Note: This update is included as part of the Laserfiche Avante 9.1.1 and Laserfiche Rio 9.1.1 installation packages available on the Laserfiche Support Site after December 15, 2014. When using the updated installation to install Laserfiche 9.1.1 for the first time, the installation process will automatically detect and install the service pack. If you have not yet installed Laserfiche 9.1.1, please download the most recent version of the Laserfiche Avante or Laserfiche Rio installations. If you need to update an existing Laserfiche Avante or Laserfiche Rio installation, please download the following zip file.

Note: The Administration Console update associated with bug ID 119284 is not automatically installed by the included EXE file. The above ZIP file includes a LFAdminAux.dll.zip file. On the affected Administration Console computer, manually replace the files in the Administration Console installation folder with the updated files.
