Summary

By default, Laserfiche Directory Server 9.2 may log tracing information. If the computer hosting Directory Server already has a C:\log folder, Directory Server will write tracing information to a Traces.svclog file.

Resolution

Modify the LFDS.exe.config file to disable tracing.

1. Browse to the Directory Server installation folder. By default, the path is C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Directory Server.
2. Using a text editor, open up the Directory Server service's configuration file:

   LFDS.exe.config

3. Delete the <system.diagnostics> block.
4. Save your changes.
5. Restart the Directory Server service.
