When creating a repository using Windows Authentication to authenticate to a Microsoft SQL Server instance and Laserfiche Server is running as a local machine account, you may receive the following error message:

Error reading repository information, or the repository is misconfigured. [9025]

The Windows Event Log will contain an entry with information similar to the following:

There was an error attempting to execute SQL when creating or attaching a repository: [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]Login failed for user 'SampleDomain\MachineName$'.; SQL State: 28000; Native error code: 18456; Database server: SampleServerName; Database/Schema: SampleDatabaseName.

Make sure that the Laserfiche Server service's logon account is a Windows user account that has sufficient permissions to the specified SQL Server instance.
