Laserfiche Mobile is an iOS and Android app that enables you to capture, upload, and securely access and work with documents inside your Laserfiche repository while on the go. This article highlights new features and changes for Laserfiche Mobile 9.2.0 (Android and iOS).
- The Laserfiche Mobile Server (previously called the Laserfiche Mobile Add-On) requires its own license to install. Web Access is no longer required in order for Laserfiche Mobile to function.
- The Laserfiche Mobile Configuration page has been reorganized to better reflect the options.
- A Laserfiche Forms Server option has been added enabling you to define a Forms server URL containing forms you want to access using Laserfiche Mobile.
- Forms can be filled out and submitted via Laserfiche Mobile.
- Attach images from your mobile device directly to a form.
- You can use your finger or stylus to sign forms requiring a signature.
- The app's user interface has been updated and it now supports the new Laserfiche Forms structure.
- When logging in, you will see a new option to select a Laserfiche Forms server to connect to (as long as one has been configured on the Laserfiche Mobile Configuration page).
- Once logged in, you will see new options in the main menu. At the top is a Forms section containing an inbox of tasks, an option to fill out forms, and an option to mark forms as favorites. At the bottom, you will see the name of the repository you are currently connected to. Here, you can access repository files, recent uploads, and libraries.
- There is a new Forms inbox where users can see and complete tasks assigned to them (i.e., forms that need approval). Here, they can also see the status and history of a process.
- Under Settings, there is a new option that lets you upload using Wi-Fi instead of cellular data.
- You can use thumbnails in the Document Viewer to quickly jump to a page.
- Both the Android and iOS apps have been optimized for tablets.
