Laserfiche App

Summary

Laserfiche Mobile is an iOS and Android app that enables you to capture, upload, and securely access and work with documents inside your Laserfiche repository while on the go. This article highlights new features and changes for Laserfiche Mobile 9.1.1 (Android and add-on) and 9.1.2 and 9.1.3 (iOS).

New Features for the Laserfiche Mobile Add-on

  • If users will use Windows or LDAP accounts to log into the repository, you can now specify a domain name so the users don't have to include it with their user name when they log into the app.
  • If default volumes have been configured for the repository, documents uploaded via the Laserfiche Mobile app will automatically be saved to their parent folder's default volume. If the parent folder does not have a default volume, now you can specify a volume for uploaded documents to be saved to.

New Features in the App

  • The updated iOS app has a new, streamlined design that matches the Android app.
  • Annotations can now also be viewed in the Android app.
  • The search options now include recent search terms.

Feature Changes in the iOS App

The following features were removed to improve usability and unify app experiences across devices: Image processing profiles, breadcrumb navigation, choosing a folder and volume when creating a new document (new documents will be created in the current folder, and the default volume will be used), session timeout notifications while the app is minimized, multi-value geotag fields (only the geotag of the first photo in the document will be recorded), fast scroll bar, tapping an entry's name to access the folder it's in, selecting all entries in the Folder Browser. Additionally, new document settings and search are now full screen in the iPad instead of in a separate pane.
