Summary

See the following scenario:

• The repository contains a "Document Type" template field.
• You configure the Laserfiche Client folder browser to display a Document Type column.
• The column values are 0, 1, 2, and -2 instead of the field values that you expect for "Document Type."

Cause

Laserfiche contains a built-in column named Document Type that displays whether an entry is a document, folder, Record Series, or shortcut.

Resolution

If you have a template field that shares a name with an existing Laserfiche built-in column, when configuring the column display for the Laserfiche Client, make sure to scroll past the General Columns section to reach the section with template field names.
