Summary

In Laserfiche Workflow Web, you may see the following error message:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Cause

This error can occur when Windows Authentication is not enabled or installed in IIS.

Resolution

Make sure the Windows Authentication role service or Windows feature is enabled through the Windows Add Roles and Features Wizard or the Windows Features window.

If the feature is already installed, open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager and view the Authentication settings for the WF web application. Make sure that Windows Authentication is enabled.
