Summary

When you click on a document shortcut in WebLink 8, you may receive a generic HTTP 404 error in your Web browser instead of a Laserfiche exception.

Cause

This situation can occur if the WebLink user does not have sufficient Laserfiche rights to view the source document of the shortcut.

Resolution

Do one of the following:

• Deny the WebLink user read access on the shortcut itself.
• Allow the WebLink user read access on the source document.
