Opening Workflow Designer 9 Only Displays The Splash Screen.

Summary

When you open Workflow Designer 9, the loading process displays an empty Workflow Designer window and the splash screen. The splash screen does not disappear and the Workflow Designer may never fully load.

Workaround

This issue can occur if the Workflow Designer cannot read certain user settings. You can manually delete these invalid XML configuration files to reset the Designer to a default view state. The Workflow Designer will automatically regenerate a new set of XML files using the default layout the next time you open the Designer.

In Windows Vista and later, your Workflow Designer settings are stored in C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Laserfiche\WF. In Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, your Workflow Designer settings are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Laserfiche\WF. Delete all the XML files in this folder.
