The Laserfiche Forms 9.0.x Form Designer May Not Fully Support The
Tag In Custom HTML Fields.

Laserfiche Forms 9

Summary

See the following scenario:

 • Use the Form Designer and add a Custom HTML field to a form.
 • In the Custom HTML field, type a pair of opening and closing
tags, insert desired text, and save your form.
 • Users viewing the form to submit data as part of a business process may see a form with differing amounts of white space within the
section. For example, text within the
tags may wrap in the Form Designer, but may display as a single line when viewed during the submission process.

Cause

Laserfiche Forms may not properly save line breaks and extra blank spaces within
tags in Custom HTML fields.

Workaround

Use other HTML tags within the Custom HTML field to format white space. For example, use
tags to create line breaks and manually insert tags to add additional blank spaces.

Note: Please validate any custom HTML prior to deploying the form as Laserfiche Forms does not include built-in validation of content within Custom HTML fields.
