When upgrading from Workflow Server 8.0 to a later version, you may receive the following error message in the configuration utility when configuring the new Workflow Server:

Line 62: Incorrect syntax near 'max'.

This error can occur if you are attempting to use Workflow 8.3 or later with Microsoft SQL Server 2000. Workflow 8.3 relies on SQL Server functionality (e.g., the MAX function) that is only available in SQL Server 2005 and later.

SQL Server 2005 is the minimum supported version for Workflow Server 8.3 and later.
