Laserfiche Connector for Ricoh

Summary

The Laserfiche Connector for Ricoh is a single integrated solution in which scanning, printing, searching, browsing, and configuring user settings on the Laserfiche Server can be performed. This software integrates with Multi-Function Devices (MFDs) to leverage these smart devices and to provide a convenient way to communicate with your Laserfiche Server from a Ricoh MFD. The Laserfiche Connector for Ricoh 1.0 is the first release of this application.

Multi-Function Device Requirements

The multi-function device you install the Laserfiche Connector for Ricoh on must meet the following requirements:

  • Support for Embedded Software Architecture (ESA) SDK 7.x, 10.x, and 11.x
  • An LCD touch-screen (WVGA)
  • An installed Java card

Supported devices

  • Aficio MP C6501/C7500/C7501
  • Aficio MP C3001/C3501/C5041
  • Aficio MP C4501/C5000/C5501
  • Aficio MP C2051/C2551/C7140
  • Aficio MP C300/C400
  • All devices that support Embedded Software Architecture (ESA) SDK 7.x, 10.x and 11.x, and that have an LCD touch-screen (WVGA).

Laserfiche Server Requirements

  • The Laserfiche Server used with the Laserfiche Connector for Ricoh must be version 8.3 or 9.0.

Installation Information

Pre-installation Configuration

  • Configure the LFconnector.dalp file in the installation ZIP file so it references the Laserfiche Server and repository.
  • Generate a license file (lf.licx) with the Activation Utility and place it in the installation zip file.
  • Verify you can access the Ricoh Web Image monitor.
  • Ensure your network/firewall configuration allows inbound connections from the Ricoh devices to the Laserfiche Server on the Listening port (port 80 or 5050 by default).
  • Prepare the application zip file and copy it to the machine where you will perform the installation.

Installation

You can install the Laserfiche Connector for Ricoh using the RXOP GUI Client or the Ricoh Web Image Monitor. For more information about installation, see the Laserfiche Connector for Ricoh Installation and Administration Guide included in the installation packet and on the Laserfiche Support Site.

Known Issues

  • SSL connections with the Laserfiche Server are not supported. (106903)
  • The Laserfiche Connector for Ricoh will not have its own logo on the home screen on 10.x or higher platforms. (106904)
  • Only devices with ESA SDK 7.x, 10.x and 11.x and WVGA screens are supported.
