A "Multiple forms processes were found on server" Validation Error Occurs When Publishing A Workflow.

Workflow Suite 9

Summary

When publishing a workflow with a Retrieve Laserfiche Forms Content activity, you may receive the following validation error:

Multiple forms processes were found on server 'http://SampleFormsWebServer/forms' with process name 'SampleBusinessProcessName'

Cause

The Retrieve Laserfiche Forms Content activity does not automatically account for multiple Forms processes with the same name. This situation can occur when you delete or archive a process in Laserfiche Forms.

Workaround

Disable workflow validation to publish the workflow. In your Retrieve Laserfiche Forms Content activity, select the correct business process and republish your workflow. Re-enable validation after completing the publishing process.

  1. In the Workflow Designer, click the Tools menu and select Options.
  2. Under the Workflows section, select Publishing.
  3. Clear the Validate metadata and External Objects before publishing a workflow option.
  4. Click OK to close the Options dialog box.
  5. Select your Retrieve Laserfiche Forms Content activity.
  6. Under Fields, be sure to select the business process instance with the higher ID number.
  7. Publish your workflow.

Note: Remember to re-enable the Validate metadata and External Objects before publishing a workflow option after publishing.
