Summary

When viewing a Laserfiche Web product, you may receive a web page that displays the following message:

The Hardware Fingerprint on your license does not match this machine.

Web Access cannot find a valid license file.

Cause

The virtual directories for the Laserfiche Web product may have inherited the ASP.NET Impersonation authentication option from the Default Web Site.

Resolution

Use Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager and disable the ASP.NET Impersonation authentication option for the affected virtual directories.

1. Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
2. Expand the desired Web Server.
3. Expand Sites.
4. Expand Default Web Site.
5. Select the appropriate virtual directory. For example, Laserfiche Forms creates the Forms or FormsConfig virtual directories. Web Access creates the Laserfiche virtual directory.
6. Double-click Authentication.
7. Select ASP.NET Impersonation and click Disable.
