Known Issues

See the following list of known issues in Quick Fields 9.0.

  • Sometimes the scrollbar in the Retrieve Entries tab in the Laserfiche Capture Engine dialog box is missing (103348).
  • There is an option in Quick Fields 8.3 that allows you to limit the number of entries waiting to be processed. When opening an 8.3 session in Quick Fields 9.0, the settings for this option in 9.0 may overwrite the settings for this option in 8.3 (103720).
  • Editing the token in a Substitution process may automatically select the Replace the input token's value with the result checkbox because only user defined tokens can be modified (102002)
  • If you use Assign Token Value in Page Processing to modify a token used in a field, the value from before Page Processing is used. This is because the When a token value is set by multiple pages, always use the first non-blank value (instead of the most recent non-blank value) option is selected. If this option is not selected, it will use the modified token (101919).
  • Undo/Redo is not supported in the Document Class Options dialog box (99376).
  • The JPEG quality level may slightly be off when using ScanConnect or Universal Capture (105019, 103430).
  • When you scan documents, then modify the Document Class to version documents and add a version comment, the version comment may not be added when the document is sent to Laserfiche (104669).
  • Tokens created in Last Page Identification may not get replaced when used in a field (103828).
  • If you select Select All in the Select Fields dialog box, it may take a while to select them if you have a lot of fields available to choose from (103659).
  • Quick Fields may place annotations off the page when the page is rotated and has mismatched X/Y DPI (102854).
  • The option to use existing text in Zone OCR may not be taken into account when testing a process (102693).
  • Laserfiche Capture Engine may have issues locking and unlocking a document referenced by a shortcut (101255).
  • Setting a blank multi-value field in Post-Processing when using Laserfiche Capture Engine will have no effect (101101).
  • Generating images from certain PDFs may produce a distorted image (98310).
  • When generating pages from multi-page PDFs in landscape, the page width may be truncated and can result in a document that is 8.5 x 11. If it's a single-page PDF, the page is generated as expected (97535).
  • Quick Fields Agent may not correctly detect that a session it's trying to run is open somewhere else (94424).
  • Universal Capture may crash when generating pages from certain PDFs (89518).
  • You can not paste zones in the Auto-OMR process (88797).
  • The option When a token value is set by multiple pages, always use the first non-blank value (under Tools, Quick Fields, Advanced) is set per Windows user. If the session is run by another user, the option will have to be re-set. (100257)
  • The token syntax for applying formatting to tokens has changed to %(token#"expression"#). The previous syntax, %(token,"expression"), will not work in Quick Fields 9.0.
