See the following scenario:

  1. You configure a monitored repository in the Workflow Configuration Manager or Workflow Administration Console.
  2. You add a Find Manager activity to your workflow and select your repository in the Search in option.
  3. If you choose to search for a specific user and specify a domain account, the Trustee Search dialog box does not retrieve any additional properties for that domain account.
  4. When you run the workflow, the activity does not automatically find the manager for that domain account.

When you add a monitored repository, Workflow automatically adds a Laserfiche trustee directory for that repository will be automatically added to this list. If you want Workflow to also be able to interact with Windows Active Directory, you must first use the Trustee Directory Manager to add your domain controller.

You can access the Trustee Directory Manager from the following places:

  • The Manage button in the Trustee Directory Configuration dialog box. In the Workflow Designer, in the Tools menu, select Configure Trustee Directories.
  • The Lookup Options property box for the Find User, Find Group, and Find Manager activities. In the Search In drop-down menu, select Manage Directories.
  • The Group tab of the Route to Group activity and the User tab of the Route to User activity. Click Manage.
