In a UAC-enabled environment, Client Automation Tools cannot detect Laserfiche Client instances that are running in a different security level.

See the following scenario:

  1. Start your custom Client Automation Tools program with elevated permissions.
  2. You manually launch an instance of the Laserfiche Client.
  3. The program does not detect the existence of the open Client instance.
  4. Your Client Automation Tools program launches the Laserfiche Client and properly detects that instance of the Client.
  5. You manually launch an instance of the Laserfiche Client with elevated permissions and your Client Automation Tools program also properly detects this instance of the Client.
