Laserfiche 9.0.2

Summary

This article details hotfix 1013213 for Laserfiche Scanning 9.0.2 and the Laserfiche 6 or 7 to 9 Migration Utility. This hotfix resolves the following issues:

  • In certain situations, Laserfiche Scanning may not close when you attempt to close Scanning. You had to manually terminate the processes from Windows Task Manager. This issue is now resolved. (102228)
  • You no longer receive a "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail." error message when launching the Laserfiche 6 to 7 to 9 Migration Utility. (102167)

The Laserfiche Scanning update includes the following file versions:

  • LFScan.exe (9.0.2.676)
  • Scanning.Base.dll (9.0.2.676)

Note: This update is included as part of the Laserfiche Avante 9.0.2 and Laserfiche Rio 9.0.2 installation packages available on the Laserfiche Support Site after April 30, 2013. The updated Client installation package contains an "Updates" subfolder with the .msp patch file. When using the updated installation to install Laserfiche Scanning 9.0.2 for the first time, the installation process will automatically detect and install the appropriate .msp files located in that subfolder. The installation packages also include the new Migration Utility installation. If you have not yet installed Laserfiche 9.0.2, please download the most recent version of the Laserfiche Avante or Laserfiche Rio installations.

The zip file contains LaserficheClient902676_20130429.exe. Double-click the .exe file to update Laserfiche Scanning 9.0.2.

Note: The zip file also contains a Microsoft Windows Installer patch file (.msp) that updates Scanning that you can use for unattended deployment of the hotfix.
