Laserfiche Mobile 9.0 is no longer tied to a specific version of Web Access. Because of this, the Laserfiche Mobile add-on 9.0 can be installed on any machine that has Web Access 8.2 and higher and now has its own Laserfiche Mobile Configuration page. Some new options administrators can configure on this Configuration page are:
- Define repository connections and who can authenticate and if users should be "remembered" the next time they log in.
- Define a field to be automatically added to newly captured documents containing the location coordinates of where a photo was taken.
- Define default email messages and whether or not sent emails contain just Laserfiche Mobile links or Laserfiche Mobile and Web Access links.
- Choose if you want watermarks displayed on images in the Laserfiche Mobile Document Viewer.
- Choose to disable exporting documents to other apps on mobile devices.
- Define an inactivity timeout period for users. Once this time limit is reached, users will automatically be logged out of the repository.
- Choose to compress images on the Web server before sending them to the repository.
- Define who can access the Laserfiche Mobile Configuration Page.
- Define logging levels for Laserfiche Mobile, as well as turn tracing on and off in order to location a specific problem.
- Laserfiche Mobile has its own virtual directory (Mobile) and Web Access has a new URL format for version 9 (http://WebAccessServer/laserfiche). Laserfiche Mobile takes both changes into account and will redirect you to the new URL format.
