Summary
Laserfiche Distributed Processing 9.0 Beta enables Laserfiche client applications to send the processing work for certain tasks to machines where Distributed Processing is installed. Used with the Schedule OCR activity in Workflow 9.0.2, the Distributed Processing 9.0 Beta can perform OCR processing on documents in the Laserfiche repository. This release comes packaged with a special Web Administration Console 9.1 Preview for administering Distributed Processing.
Distributed Processing System Requirements
Note: The number of concurrent tasks a Worker can perform is usually limited to the number of processor cores on the machine hosting it. To increase Worker performance, install them on machines with multi-core processors.
Note: When you install the Laserfiche Distributed Processing Service, PowerShell modules for administering the service are also installed. In order for these modules to be installed, the machine must have PowerShell 2.0 or higher installed. Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista do not come with PowerShell 2.0.
